what if 2.0

i made this for my dad’s birthday in 2021.  most of the scrap pieces i’ve made sit flat on the wall.  but when i started intentionally planning different heights (depths?) of different sections of pieces (e.g. the all black circle piece (scrap circle 21.0 (b)), the next logical step seemed to be a piece that protruded out from the wall.  so i built this piece on a flat rectangular piece of wood and then cut it in half and glued the back sides together.  i love how the view straight on looks kind of symmetrical, but upon closer view, there’s more going on.  this was also my first time messing around with overspray/drips.
