a green cube 17.0
after i made ‘a purple cube 17.0’, i was inspired to make another. my friend dan had recently moved into a new house and i thought he needed some artwork. why not make a cube for him? i went with green this time — dan’s a woodsy guy. very similar materials here (i guess i hadn’t yet learned the lesson about the pitfalls of using 1/4″ plywood backer, but i figured dan would display this indoors anyways). you can see the “SPARKS” brand just to the lower right of the cube in the first picture. my dad had that made in the early 80s for a little company he started making wooden cabinets for cassettes and VCR tapes. in the second to last picture, you can see how it looks when used.
