optimization 21.0

my friend and bandmate ben recht is a professor and had his first textbook published in 2022.  i was honored (and very unsure of myself) when he asked if i’d want to create some art for the cover.  this represented a couple of firsts for me, among them: first time i’ve had art on the cover of a textbook and first time having a piece of mine professionally photographed (shout out to no umbrella media for the great work).  one little side note: our band is called the fun years and we usually shortcut that to “TFY”.  as a little easter egg, i included a “T” an “F” and a “Y” in the piece and it displays proudly on the front cover.  i won’t spoil it — see if you can find it.
